1) What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how PCHI collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you:
visit our website (hosted on Squarespace) (the “Site”),
purchase KickAndBass via Gumroad,
use the KickAndBass plugin (the “Software”),
contact support.
2) Information we collect
A. Information you provide
Support communications: If you email us or submit a support request, we collect the information you provide (e.g., name, email, message content, attachments).
Mailing list: Email address and related preferences.
B. Purchase information (via Gumroad)
When you purchase KickAndBass, Gumroad processes the checkout. Depending on Gumroad’s flow, Gumroad may collect and process information like your name, email, payment details, billing location, and transaction metadata. PCHI typically receives order-related information needed to deliver/verify your purchase (e.g., product purchased, price, timestamp, and buyer email).
Note: Gumroad’s handling of personal information is governed by Gumroad’s own privacy policy.
C. Site usage data (Squarespace Analytics + cookies)
Squarespace may collect information about how visitors interact with the Site (e.g., pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate location, device/browser info). Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and performance measurement, including to populate Squarespace Analytics reporting.
D. Plugin / license data (KickAndBass)
KickAndBass may process limited technical information necessary to:
activate and enforce licensing (e.g., a device identifier or activation token, license status),
basic operational compatibility (e.g., OS version, plugin version/format).
We do not intentionally collect your audio content or DAW projects through the plugin.
Crash reporting: We do not operate a dedicated crash reporting service at this time (though standard OS/host crash logs may exist on your own machine).
3) How we use information

provide access to the Software and deliver purchases (contract performance),
verify licenses / prevent fraud and abuse,
operate, maintain, and improve the Site,
respond to support requests and communicate with you,
comply with legal obligations (e.g., accounting, responding to lawful requests).

Our Site uses Squarespace features that may place cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics/performance measurement.

C. California (CCPA/CPRA)
If CCPA/CPRA applies, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain “selling”/“sharing” uses depending on your data and the business’s practices. California authorities also emphasize providing a conspicuous Notice at Collection and a link to your privacy policy at or before collection online.

10) Children’s privacy
The Site and Software are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
